*January 25, 2008 I'm pregnant!
I realized I was about 4 days late but I only had about half an hour between leaving school and heading off to the Sundance Film Festival for 48 hours with my mom. I decided to run to Macey's and buy a pregnancy test. I pulled in the driveway and saw that Fluke was shoveling the snow. I quickly hid the test in my jacket. He came in the garage, opened my door and bent down to kiss me. I gave him a quick kiss, yelled "I gotta go pee!" and ran inside.
I took the test and instead of waiting the full three minutes I stared at the stick as it quickly showed the plus sign. I couldn't believe it. I was actually pregnant. We had been wanting to get pregnant for a while and I finally was! Now I had to decide what to do. I could either tell Fluke now and leave him in shock for two days or I could be in shock for two days on my own and tell him when we got back. I decided to tell him when we got back. I threw a quick bag together in a daze and put the pregnancy test in too just in case he found it and headed off to Sundance.
It was a very long weekend. My mom couldn't figure out why I was so sleepy and why I would finish a meal when she wasn't even halfway finished with her food. Once when we were sharing a burger, she noticed my half was gone and commented on it. I actually tried to act like I possibly dropped the burger without noticing it!
When we finally came home I was able to tell Fluke. We were lying in bed and I blurted out, "I have to tell you something I think I'm pregnant!!!" We just sat there in shock for a while.
On Monday I called my OB/GYN thinking they would have me come in that day for important blood tests in case my test was wrong. I was shocked when they told me they would see me more than 4 weeks later! So I waited...

Our first appointment with the wonderful Dr. Craig. The ultrasound was so exciting! We saw our wiggly little baby "doing the hula." We saw an arm and a leg. We saw and heard the heartbeat. It was absolutely amazing!
