Fluke told me a story recently.
When Fluke was little his sister was in charge of a neighborhood spook alley. She had been talking about it for awhile and he was really excited to go. The day finally rolled around and they went to the spook alley. There was a long line and his excitement got the best of him and for some reason he stomped on his dad's shoe, a cowboy boot. His dad then stomped back. Fluke had no explanation for why he stomped on his dad's shoe besides not being able to control himself.

Now we always joke that when Abby gets out-of-control crazy, she is "stomping on cowboy boots." She was like that at the grocery store today. I was pushing the cart down the aisle and Abby started saying "Yummy, yummy, yummy..." Then all of a sudden, she had the back of her hand in her mouth and she was screaming "YUMMY, YUMMY, YUMMY!!!" People in the store probably thought she was upset but she wasn't, she was just goofing around in an out-of-control way. I'm sure all kids do this but it is just so funny to watch her go from normal-child to screaming-with-excitement-child.
Here's Abby on a hike with Daddy.
And here she is stomping on my cowboy boots.

Ella is into screaming lately. Not just little bits but the death screams! and she does it when something terrible happens or when something tiny happens. SHE LOVES TO SCREAM! I hate it. but we are working through it! ahhhh
Pretty hike... Abby is so cute. Are you all geared up for another school year? I hope you've got a good class this year.
