We actually had a pretty eventful day.
I know there's some blogging rule where you're not supposed to blog about what you ate BUT I'm also including some recipe tips so lucky you.
Now for breakfast potatoes, we discovered something wonderful recently. If you have a leftover baked potato you can chop it up (skin and all), dump it in a zip bag with some oil, salt and pepper and give it a good shake before dumping it in a pan. Ta-da: really quick potatoes. Start these cooking before you get going on your eggs and they'll be nice and crispy.

Abby didn't eat either of these by the way. More for us! While I was doing Abby's hair she played a few games on my iPod.

One of the games is called Tiny Tiger. It is cute. You dress up an animal and take its picture and play games with it.

The other game was Monkey Sunshine Math. We also love the Monkey Preschool Lunchbox game.

Fluke left me this message that he is out of soap. I decided NOT to edit out the books because guess what? I'm a mom and that's where I get some alone time, usually with a few interruptions. I'm on a bit of a Bill Bryson kick lately. My favorite so far is A Walk in the Woods. My least favorite is the one I'm reading now, At Home. I'm planning on reading The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid next. I've heard it's funny. All of his books but the one I'm reading now have lough out loud funny parts.

After Abby's nap we piled into the car and headed to Salt Lake City. The sun was incredibly bright.

When we got to Salt Lake we dropped Fluke off at the Ferrari store where he picked out a new one and drove it home. He wishes. His friend works there and they met there and then took off for the Auto Expo. They had a blast.

We headed to Trolley Square and went into Whole Foods to get a snack for Abby.

Next we went to the new Sam Weller's book store. Abby, Nana and Curious George read while I picked out some books. She is reading a really cute book that she actually got for Christmas. It's called Press Here. One of Abby's aunts recommended it. It tells the reader to do different tasks to change the current page to the following page. It is really clever.

When we were leaving Trolley Square I saw a 20-something girl wearing the most insane pair of pants. They were denim with a drawstring elastic waist and elastic cuffs. It was as if she were wearing them on a dare.
We drove to Fashion Place Mall. They have an H & M there now. I wanted to look at clothes for Abby. I can't believe how busy they were. They've been open for a few months and it was packed. As we walked in guess what pants I saw?!? They were the "I double-dog-dare you to wear them" pants!!! $20.00 if you want to pick up a pair.

After shopping we met up with Fluke and his friend for dinner and then we headed back to Logan. We didn't get back until after midnight (a first for Abby.) We were all a little punch-drunk. Here's another blogging no-no I'm sure, kid on a toilet BUT they are Voguing.

We had to fit in the nightly daddy-daughter acrobatics.

Just shy of 1 a.m.

It was a long day and I don't think Abby will be staying up that late for a very long time.
