When Abby was less than a week old I was nursing her at about 11 at night. I was exhausted. I was sitting on the couch in the dark. My arm kept getting scratched every time I moved it and I figured there was something tiny stuck to the blanket on the couch (kind of like a splinter) and just kept moving my arm. When Abby was done I got up and turned around to put her down. I glanced over at the couch and saw what looked like a beetle where my arm had been. I looked closer. It wasn't a beetle, it was a big old ugly spider. It took me a few seconds to realize that the splinter that had scratched me was actually a spider biting me. Needless to say, I was sleep-deprived and therefore flipped out. I screamed for Fluke and he woke up and came running and rather than smashing it he caught it so we could google it and make sure I wasn't going to fall over dead. Turns out it wasn't deadly but it was still totally creepy. Below is the culprit.
Now for the opposite of creepy:
I would be okay being bitten by this little creature.
