12 x 12 May 2009 AND 12 x 12 April!!! So exciting!!!

I kept forgetting/putting off posting my April 12 x 12 so here it is along with May.

April 12 x 12
(Easter Sunday)
This was taken at 4:03 am. That much milk at one time is really exciting. I think this must have been right around spring break when I was able to catch up. I am usually struggling to keep up.

This is what I was watching while pumping. It is a movie called Loser. I remember seeing it in the theater. It was directed by the same woman who directed Clueless and Fast Times at Ridgemont High. I usually watch Fresh Prince of Bel Air but I have now seen them all about 3 times since Abby was born and I just can't watch it anymore. So, I watched this and wow...it was not good.

Abby was up and had finished eating so we took time out for a fashion show featuring the hats I had gotten on super-sale at Fred Meyer the day before. Abby confusing hat model for hand model.

And with straps.

I am a teacher in the Relief Society at church. This means I have to teach one lesson each month. My week fell on Easter this month. For some reason, I can teach children all the time, no problem but if you ask me to teach adults, I freak out. I seriously have a panic attack once a month over this. So stressful. But, after it is over, I'm like "what are you talking about, panic? It was fine, no big deal." So here are my books that I was using to finish my lesson.

Krash, helping me prepare.

Sunday Morning (the television show) is so great. If you haven't watched it, I highly recommend it. I remember seeing it when I was really little and had totally forgotten about it until my sisters-in-law mentioned it. I started watching it a couple of years ago and it is really good. I watch it every Sunday morning.

Abby with Daddy, Dolly and Tag Rag. She is a blur in this picture, just like she is in real life.

My mom and I took a walk after church. Aren't we lucky to live here?

Abby checking out the scenery.

Here is Abby again, waiting for Fluke's family to get back from watching people roll Easter eggs down Old Main Hill.

And here is a picture of Old Main Hill. Can you see that Flock of Seagulls flying around? (You can tell by their crazy 80's hair styles.) Seriously, they circle in the air on Easter to try and eat the eggs that people roll (throw) down the hill. I have had a lot of bad experiences with birds so I chose to stay in my car.

May 12 x 12
Just a regular Tuesday
I got up early and decided to check my email since I hadn't for weeks. I had 397!!! new messages. All but about 4 were spam. :(

I had been sick for about two weeks so I had to keep these around so I didn't cough on everyone. When I went to Instacare to get checked out, I got my throat swabbed and the nurse jammed that swab in my throat so hard. I kept thinking, "she's gonna stop now" and "not so hard, it's gonna come out the back of my neck" and "seriously, that has to be enough" and when she finally stopped, I totally gagged/coughed in her face and I felt so bad. I didn't mean to but she was trying to swab my stomach via my throat and I couldn't help it. She didn't seem to mind.

Abby after just waking up. Her face is a little smushed because she sleeps on it. She woke up one morning and looked so different, I thought she had an allergic reaction to something. Luckily, she has that youthful skin that just bounces back. Like her mom. Hopefully though, she won't inherit my enormous nostrils that show up in most of my self-portraits.

Really happy to be getting her diaper changed. You can see her two bottom teeth here.

Abby can be entertained for great lenghts by buttons or snaps. They are pretty neat. And shiny.

Abby is now big enough for some finger foods. These are similar to Cheerios but are made by Gerber. They are cherry flavored and taste like both parts of Lucky Charms mixed into one. Not bad.

Here she is FEEDING HERSELF. She misses about half the time but oh my, she is getting so big.

At school, we are reading the first Harry Potter and we made animals for our desks. I needed to make some examples. While the students were coloring and cutting, I did the same for all three animals. Here they are pre-assembled.

And after. They are: a cat (who came with a hat and bow tie which I chose to leave off because even at Hogwarts, cats don't wear those), an owl and a frog. Not bad for assembling during a 15 minute recess. Sadly, I glued the cats paws on backwards, as a student had to point out to me.

I still have to go home every day to pump. I really enjoy doing it. No, wait.

I really enjoy it. No, wait.

That's better. I really don't mind it.
