In our school district we are using four new (to our district) math programs. (One main, and three supplementary.) We went to an overview of two of them today. The first one was really cool. It was about model drawing which is drawing out a word problem to make it simple to solve. I love learning new ways to simplify basic concepts. The second was an introduction to our new math textbook. The entire time I was there I felt like one of those circus performers balancing the plates. It was SO MUCH INFORMATION being thrown at us. It will be really exciting to be able to integrate so much technology into our math program but I did tell another teacher that my brain actually hurt at one point.

Cache Valley has been getting some crazy rain storms the past few days.
I took this picture yesterday coming into the valley from Sardine Canyon.

There is another big storm passing through today. Abby loves going outside so I took her outside to see if it was still raining.
Cute toothy grin.

It was only sprinkling.

Her diaper needed to be changed though, so we went back inside and have you changed a diaper on a baby who is about ready to crawl lately? If not, let me get an image for you to think about.

First, watch this.

Ok, the crocodile spinning wildly represents Abby and the dude getting thrown to the ground would be mama. My mom said it's like trying to dress a very small drunk person.

My little drunk crocodile is currently napping with her booty in the air and her thumb in her mouth. What a cutie.

"Very small drunk person" is hilarious. It is no small task to diaper an active baby.

Right at the beginning, the guy telling us about the math book really sounded like he was trying to sell it to us, even though we had already bought it. That was a bit annoying. But I agree, they all look pretty cool. Debbie even said that model drawing allowed you to solve the problem without even thinking about it...she said it like it was a bad thing!

And I'm right there with you on the diaper thing. Well, not there with you persay, but I can sympathize. Just wait until she can walk and runs into the kitchen, pees all over the floor, then tries to clean it up with her fresh, clean clothes. Of course, that may have been my fault for not pinning her down well enough while diaper-less...
