June 12 x 15

I really have liked doing the 12 x 12 challenge. This month on the 12th though, we were down at the hospital getting Fluke's scopes done so I completely forgot about taking 12 pictures. Once I remembered, it was Saturday so, I decided to do it anyway, just on the 15th.

My day usually starts at 7 am when Abby wakes up in a happy mood.
I turned on the lights to take the picture and she made this face.
This is the face she makes when she doesn't like something. She made it tonight when she tried meat for the first time. It was the first thing she's eaten that she hasn't liked.

She got over her grumpiness pretty quick. This was about two seconds later.

She's not quite crawling yet, but she's trying.

While we are heating up her food, she feeds herself puffs. These are corn-flavored and taste like sweet popcorn. Yum.

Instead of crawling, she rolls around to get to her toys. I am very proud of this t-shirt. I'm the king of rock, there is none higher. Sucker MCs should call me sire.

Abby also stretches to get to what she wants.

Abby loves our cat Scout. She tries to eat his ears and laughs when he walks by.

We have a 5 year old Black Lab named Krash. She is very puppy-like still. This is a photo of our dining room (before). Her kennel is in the middle. Yes, those are cement blocks chained to the kennel. Krash is the kind of dog that will throw herself at you because she loves you so much even if she just met you. She spends very little time in her kennel anymore and I wanted to try eating at the dining room table instead of the counter so we took the big kennel down.

Here is the set up after. We are now using her little kennel. She doesn't seem to mind at all and we get to eat at a real table!

This is a little random. I took Abby to run errands and as soon as we left, I realized I was starving. This is a quick, cheap, semi-healthy fix. This is a Wendy's side salad ($1.30) and a chicken sandwich ($1.00) cut up and without the bun. It is pretty filling too. I was eating it in the parking lot and about 90 seconds after this was taken, my fork slipped and half my salad ended up in my lap. Ug.

I took Abby to Michaels. I was buying pinwheels for our garden so the birds won't eat the strawberries. Abby was laughing at them.
So cute. Her hair is all full of static from the stroller.

Abby has the coolest clothes ever. Where did you get that t-shirt>?!?! Most babies don't like meat the first several times. If she doesn't like it heated, try room temp (or vice versa). That actually works for a lot of foods, and it is good to get kids accustomed to lots of varied food temperatures. That way they won't be caught off guard when you give them gazpacho or vichyssoise. Kidding about that last sentence. I hate cold soup.
