BIG PICTURES

Sheesh. I haven't blogged in months. I've been trying to be anti-negative lately. Also known as positive! But one or another of us has been sick since the beginning of December so every time I go to post I feel like I just want to gripe about who is sick this time.

Quick recap: Abby: virus/cough, bacteria/cough, antibotic, squirts, flu, squirts, worst diaper rash ever, all better, currently has a cough/runny nose. Kate: flu, threw up for the first time in like, 15 years, Gah! All better. Fluke: flu, and currently sick with ear ache and pukey-ness.

Now for the positiveness.

Abby experienced the joy of Christmas!

Why are you taking so long to open it?!?!
Notice the shaving cream from Fluke's stocking that she refused to let go of.

Abby has been interested in feeding herself with a spoon. Sometimes she aims for her mouth, sometimes for her hair, and sometimes for the dog. We're working on it.

Abby is becoming a copycat. I'm reading "A Year Down Yonder." She's reading "The BFG." Awesome.

We all got the flu. Here we are a few days after she had it and day 2 for me. Abby is good at going up the stairs. She likes to make rest stops along the way to examine tiny specks. Going down is something she has yet to figure out yet.

This is a snapshot from the future: Abby at 16
"Oh pleeease mom"...eyeroll

No really, this is a "before shot" as we are leaving to get her first haircut. As you can see, her bangs were getting in the way of her pretty face.
Long bangs, smiling

After! Cute!

Raise your hand if you look cute in stretch pants!
Hooray

Abba-Lu is a bit of a book hog. She will "read" where ever she feels like. Our floors are currently littered with books.
cooking the books

Check out the next 3 photos for some of Abby's awesome talents.
Here's the "upside-down."

This is the "around and around."
Around and around
That Christmas tree in the background was bought at the day-after-Christmas sale at Wal-Mart. 12 bucks! Abby loved it and we kept it up until the end of January.

And here's the "jump!"
jump!
No, her toes have not left the floor, but she's trying.

Our lives are filled with Wonder Pets and Curious George. Abby said "door" and "flower" for the first time today. She goes down the slide at daycare by herself thankyouverymuch. She is changing everyday and I often find myself bent over laughing because she is so funny. She loves to color, make animal noises and point out pictures of "Melmo" (Elmo). She is a blast.

I love her new hair cut= I had to show Darren but he still isn't game to cut Ella's hair to have bangs- so we are sticking to hair in the face.

He also said when I showed him the gradution picture- wow- nice beard - I told him he shoudl be noticing the cap and gown- and he said- of course- awesome Fluke graduated!!! congrats!
